2007……. ‘white lies’
‘white lies’ continues to embrace Juliette’s polished and feminine
aesthetic - she's designing with her well-mannered muse in mind; although this
season there’s something a little darker behind the poised veneer.
There is an added dimension to the collection, pushing the boundaries of
Juliette's minimalist approach and creating depth and movement by layering garments
with interesting and unexpected fabric, colour & textural combinations.
Crisp white cottons are teamed with slinky silver coated knits, printed silk
georgette is layered on heavy canvas and playful blue gingham is matched
with printed silk cotton & silk crepe.
The summer palette draws on misty morning light on a pebbled beach; pearl
whites morph into silver and dove grey and sea blue to deep navy.
Tunics and shifts feature in the collection with lengths varying from
thigh-high to floor-length, either cinched at the waist or falling free.
Buttons and bows give a dress-up feel, but there’s no denying the cool
sophistication of this collection. The Juliette Hogan girl has grown up with
a sense of depth behind her smoky eyes, leaving you with the feeling she
knows a lot more than she’s letting on.
